Bus Rapid Transit update: Met Council updated us on their current ranking for the next 3 BRT lines as part of their NetworkNext plan, which will ultimately determine the BRT routes F, G, and H lines. These lines are anticipated to be constructed in the 2025-2030 timeframe.  

Competing for those three route designations are:

• Como/Maryland 

• Johnson/Lyndale 

• Central

• Rice/Robert (West St. Paul's - currently ranked in 4th place)

BRT's offer faster transit times, better amenities and an all around easier, safer and more enjoyable experience.

Public outreach is a large part of the decision process and will occur from now until January 20.  Selection of the F route is expected to occur in March, 2021.
