Commanders and Front Staff
Chief Brian Sturgeon has lead the West St. Paul Police Department since 2019. Chief Sturgeon has been with the West St. Paul Police Department since 1989. Prior to being named Chief, Sturgeon worked as Operational Lieutenant for the department since 2006.
The West St. Paul Police Department currently has one Lieutenant. Lieutenants report directly to the Chief and lead Sergeants and officers in everyday activities.

The front office staff is available to help with requests for accident reports, calls for service, gun permit applications and answer general questions.
