Environmental Committee

Overview

  • Normal meeting day/time: Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6pm.
  • Expected time commitment: Approximately 45 hours per year. Typically, 9-10 meetings per year, about 1 hour in length and less than 1 hour of preparation work. Occasional involvement in special projects, events, research, community engagement, and park stewardship.
  • Length of Appointment: 3 years
  • Committee Seats Available: 1
  • Priority by Ward: Wards 1 or 2 preferred.
  • Role of Committee: Advise the City Council in matters pertaining to parks, park facilities, recreation, and programming. Includes reviewing park policies, park improvement planning projects, community engagement and education, conducting research, and improving community events and programs.
