In 2022 the City of West St. Paul updated its Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan, known as Go West St. Paul. This plan was initiated by a grant awarded to the city by Dakota County Active Living, with funds provided by the Minnesota State Health Improvement Project.
Go West St. Paul will continue to serve as a long-term, guiding document in transforming the city into a pedestrian and bicycle-friendly community. The goal of the plan is to support pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure where every citizen can incorporate physical activity into their daily routines. Sidewalks, trails, bikeways, and street crossings around the city are addressed within the plan.
